Olivia - Two Months!

It's been two months since she was born - wow!

At two months:

Olivia is still a great eater! She eats every 3-4 hours during the day and has one stretch of 4-5 hours every night (more often then not, it's the five hour stretch. Mommy likes.)

She has really learned to love her swing. She has some great happy time in it most days. She likes to take naps in it and she has even hung out in the bathroom while I get ready some days.

She takes a bath two or three times a week and really loves it.  Russ and I like to give them to her together so that we can both talk to her as she smiles and coos at us.

Olivia has been in the Moby wrap and the Baby Bjorn - she took naps in both of them. :)

"Mom, I'm tired of you taking my picture. This has been going on for five whole minutes."

Olivia can be entertained for almost thirty minutes just staring at the ceiling fan in our bedroom.  She actually starts to fuss and get mad if it stops moving.

We did have our first experience of leaving a restaurant because of an crying kiddo this month.  She just didn't want us to get dessert - I'm certain she had our health in mind.

Olivia's personality has really begun to show. She can babble up a storm and tell us all types of stories! Some of these noises really intrigue the dogs, too!

* This outfit is one of my favorites - We first received it in a 3 month size and I was kinda bummed that I would have to wait so long for her to wear it, but then we received it in a newborn size, too. Yay!

The Furr Babies

Roxy and Pirate like to make sure that when we aren't holding Olivia we are holding/petting them.

Honestly, these two have been so good since Olivia was born. They like to investigate her sometimes but most of the time, they'll leave her alone and just lay on the couch. They're good dogs!

It's Olivia Land, I Only Live Here

Some picture love:

Miss O's best model pout. (It's hard to tell but she was blowing bubbles when I took the picture.)

Trying out a cloth diaper.

Wearing her new onesie from Aunt B. :)

A picture Becca took of Russ and me holding hands during the Lord's prayer at church a couple of weeks ago... We had Olivia all wrapped up in our prayer.

My happy girl!

Claremore Triathlon

Russ did his first triathlon since we've moved to Tulsa this past weekend.

It was held at the Claremore Recreation Center, which is an awesome facility!

It was a pretty short sprint distance triathlon, which was great for this spectator. :)

Olivia slept through the entire thing in the Moby wrap. When we were in the sunlight, I kept her head covered with the wrap, which led a few people to think that I was pregnant, not carrying a baby. It was my own optical illusion.

Russ got first in his age group and 14th overall. Yay!

Noodlin'

Russ went noodling and he caught an Olivia!

Just Because...

Because I think she's cute and this is my blog...

She really likes to cover up her face with the blanket.

Baby Wearing

Last night, we decided to take a short family walk because for the first time in a long while it wasn't hot as Hades or raining. I had definitely missed family walks!

And since the weather was in our favor, I chose to break out the Moby wrap for the first time outside of our apartment. It was awesome - I had two free hands AND a happy/sleeping baby! (Thanks, Holly!)

Success!

Miss O's First Pool Experience

This past weekend, Olivia had her first experience in the pool.

When we were at my godparents' on Saturday, Russ wanted to take her in for just a minute to see how she liked it...
(Please notice the audience watching Russ' every move from the back corner of the picture, lol.)

It would be an understatement to say that she definitely didn't like it... Olivia told me that the water was cold! It was a lot chillier then her bathwater, which she has begun to really enjoy. AND, it made her diaper all soggy. So I quickly grabbed her from her daddy, took her inside, dried her off, and got her all warm and cozy in her towel. :)

Afterwards, Olivia got to cuddle with me and Russ got to hang out in the pool with James - our good friend, my godbrother* and Olivia's godfather. It was all good.

*Godbrother is a word I made up a very long time ago. It's because James' parents are my godparents and my parents are his godparents.... thus, we're godsiblings. :)

The balloon that could

Becca brought Olivia a balloon the morning after she was born. We brought it home with us from the hospital and it has been in her room ever since.

Check out Mr. Froggie, the humidifier, we like him!

It must have super helium in it because it has been almost 7 weeks now and the balloon has only lost some of its altitude! Wow.

Houdini

Our little Houdini has such long legs that she started breaking out of her small/medium swaddles last week. Russ went to the store and got her a size large over the weekend and she's busted out of that one already, too!

We'll still be using our swaddles because they really help her to fall asleep but I'll be trying different positions for keeping her contained. :)

Weekend Fun

Olivia went to her first wedding this weekend. She slept through the entire ceremony and was awake for the reception - perfect!!!

My girl!

Olivia met my good friend Melissa while we were there. Olivia liked her so much that she almost winked and started to suck on her fingers. :)

Showing her Aunt B some love. :)
(Sidenote: my sister is such a cute dresser! She and my sister-in-law both have quite enviable senses of fashion.)

Happy Baby

We are starting to really see glimpses of her happy personality.

Please don't send the safety police after me because she wasn't buckled into the swing - I was right there beside her.

It was so much fun to watch and interact with my Olivia!

Great Grandpa Hardin

Two weeks ago, Olivia met her Great Grandpa, my Papa Hardin

He couldn't even take his eyes off of her. :)

Warming up to it

We're warming up to bath time. Give us some time and she might even love it. :)

Pirate was very curious about this process and quite frustrated that the heater  was
sitting on the  toilet and not the floor (where he can stick his face in his front of it).
Yay, bath time!

We might like the swing...

But we're not sure....

Pirate thinks the entire set up is very interesting.
