Things that make me happy

Olivia has really gotten the hang of clapping over the last few days and now it is applause for everything! It's bathtime - applause. We're going to Target - applause. Avocado for dinner - applause. Daddy's on the phone - applause. The dog is in her face - applause (and a big fat smile). Mommy wants me to take a nap and I don't want to go to sleep - applause. We're working on patty cake, too.

Olivia is this close to crawling. She can worm herself across the floor by pushing up, rocking, rolling and scooting. There's no holding her back, now.

When we were shopping this morning, something gave Olivia the giggles. No idea what, unless it was my face, which, hopefully she doesn't think is too funny because her's has some very strong similarities. Anyway, she just laughed and laughed and laughed as we were walking through the store. People were looking at us but they were smiling because it was just so cute. :)

I want to ride my bicycle

I think we may have a future cyclist on our hands (cue Russ jumping up and down in the background).

Here's Olivia taking a particular interest in Russ' bike shoes.

She thought they were super cool, while I just think they're super smelly.

A day or so after the shoe pictures were taken, Russ was walking past his bike with Olivia and she really, really wanted to touch it. So, he let her sit on it.

This made them both very happy. :)

Yum, sock?

One of Olivia's newer fascinations is taking off one of her socks and chewing on it.

We go through at least two pairs of socks most days because once she's done with the one she's chewed on, it is as wet as someone who walked through a giant, warm puddle. Yum.

BTDub: those pants are not the actual coordinates for that shirt (which is Winnie the Pooh  - always one of my favorites) but we're having to readjust the fit of her diapers currently because she must be going through a growth spurt and had leaked on the matching pants. This growth spurt must be all about added height and not added chunk because I'm actually having to tighten the elastic in the legs of her diapers... weird, I know.

Weekend photo rundown

I know that last weekend is long past and that we are much closer to this coming weekend, now, but I had to share these photos and I just remembered to get them off of my camera, oops.

Who doesn't love a ruffly bum? Too bad it isn't warmer outside so that Olivia could wear the skirt without leggings and let everyone see her awesome legs rolls. I know you're jealous just thinking about them. :)

She caught her foot on one of her toys and rolled around with it like that for several minutes.

Goddaddy James came to visit (and he brought a delicious bottle of moscato wine, yum).

Petting Daddy while Roxy crowds in to share the love, too.
