Funny Doggy

Roxy is such a goofy dog. She has no idea that most of the time when we're laughing it's becuase of her.

Frequently, she likes to cuddle underneath the blanket and sometimes it makes her look like a babushka.

And sometimes, she likes to sit like she's a human.... Hilarious and weird at the same time.

More Cyclocross

Russ did a cyclocross race in Albuquerque this past Sunday morning.

The course had been designed by the high-school aged racers and it had tons of tight turns and places that the riders had to dismount because of sand.

They also had to run up two different sets of stairs.  Russ always did really well here because he could take the stairs two at a time and he's strong enough to easily carry his bike on his shoulder.

You can't quite see his number here but I thought it was ironic that it was 405. Can't ever forget where we came from.  :)

Hallelujah Chorus Flash Mob

The PC North choir kid in me totally geeked out when I first watched this video. :)

SNOW!

Last night, a light snow began to fall as I was watching "Dancing with the Stars" (love that show).

And it stuck around until this morning. :)

Of course, that meant I had to de-snow my car before leaving but that wasn't too hard and there were no road problems on my drive to work.

I think I could deal with an entire winter of snow, especially, if it was just like this!

The Birds!

Los Alamos has the biggest ravens I have ever seen!

When Russ and I first saw them last May, we thought that it must be something about the Atomic City that has made them mutants.... If they get too close, it can be totally creepy.

Halloweekend!

Last weekend was full of Halloween. Friday night, I helped with Trick or Treat on Mainstreet.

There were tons of people there; the rough estimate is 3,000.

This is one of my co-workers. With a lot of hairspray and a fake mustache, she looked almost exactly like Einstein!

There was a Weiner dog parade, which made me miss Dolly and Cinnamon, my parents' two dauchsund/part dauchsund doggies.

(The one dressed up like an ice cream sundae is named Roxy and her owner is one of my friends!)

There is a band called the Hillstompers here in Los Alamos. They are a bunch of musically talented adults with a flair for the silly. :) They don't just dress up for Halloween; they dress up for the 4th of July, the county fair , etc. and they always pump up the crowd. :)

The next night, Russ and I helped set up a haunted trail next to a pumpkin glow. I didn't take any pictures of our decorations except for the creepy hanging body that toally gave me the heebie-jeebies... It just looks so real.
