Overlooking the Rio Grande

After church a few weeks ago, Russ and I went to Overlook Park to see the Rio Grande. We had been to the park twice before but had no idea the vantage points we would have if we explored a little further.

(Thankfully, my mom had done some research online and she told me about it.)

Breathtaking! What an amazing view from our Creator!

I'll go back another time and take pictures with my real camera and not my phone, promise. But the pictures are totally worth it, even with a little graininess. :)

Stewardship

Everyone should check out the video of my parents talking about how our church has affected their lives and how important stewardship is.  They're the best and I'm so grateful they're mine! (http://www.churchoftheservant.com/sub-ministry.php?m=belonging_and_hospitality&s=giving-changes-lives)

Super cute mom and dad talking about Church of the Servant

I love my Cowboys!

Last year, I worked at OKBlitz.com. This is the sports department for News9 in Oklahoma City. They have recently started doing a series called "Faith and Football" and the most recent installment is about Justin Blackmon from OSU. This is a fantastic, inspiring story by my friend Stephany (fyi: she's fabulous!).

Please click on this link and see how Blackmon is sharing his faith with the local Stillwater teens:

Sesame Street - Old Spice spoof

This is hilarious! Sesame Street is still super creative and educational. :)

Where the Wild Things Are

A while back (before it started to get so cool), we found a hiking trail within walking distance of our house.  In fact, it was just a little bit off of our normal walking path.

It is a really nice, fairly easy hike that takes us slightly uphill. And for those of us who aren't long distance triathletes, that's totally appreciated.

The dogs love to explore all the new smells and run up and down the path until they're exhausted.

At which point, one of us has to pick up Pirate because his little legs get so tired.

He's getting old, too. Sweet boy.

On our way back home, Roxy tried to stalk a fake owl - she was torn between wanting to investigate the owl and wanting to be prepared to run away if it turned out to be real. Those plastic owls can be very scary.

Fridge Decor

I picked up some magnet frames at Wally World the other day and as I was choosing pictures to display in them, I discovered an interesting pattern.

About half the time I'm in pictures (at least on my fridge), I'm kissing people on the cheek. These people are mostly just Russ and my sister, but I take LOTS of pictures with those two. :)

*The first person who can spot Pirate in this picture gets a cookie - real or metaphorical, I'm not sure yet.
