Pathetic Puppy

Roxy doesn't like having her nails done. She puts on her most pathetic, sad look face when anything is even remotely close to her foot.

This is the face she was giving me the other evening the entire time that Russ had her foot trapped and was using the pedi-paws.... Man, those puppy dog eyes get me every time.

My dog has a crush on the neighbor girl...

Roxy loves the little girl who lives in the house behind us. As soon as she hears the girl's giggle, she will run out the doggie door straight towards the back fence.

Then she will set her happy butt down and stare longingly at her would-be playmate. Every few minutes she'll do a happy wiggle dance and continue to hope against hope that the fence will dissolve and she can go play.

Puppy and Bike Love

Here are a few pics from the weekend:

Here Roxy is demanding that Russ pay attention to her. She does this quite regularly and her favorite time to do it is when he's playing a video game and needs to see the TV. :)

Here he is wearing a "Ninja Turtles" shirt while cleaning one of his bikes. He sold this one and his old road bike on Craigslist over the weekend to a man from Albuquerque. The sale was made within 30 minutes of Russ posting it... it was crazy how many people were interested in the bikes!

We spent lots of time enjoying the backyard this weekend in between rain storms.  Please note the bottom left corner: unfortunately, we don't have grass, we have clover.

OKC Trip - Good Moments

Here are several pictures I captured over the weekend that just put a smile on my face.

My parents' dog Dolly crawled right into Roxy and Pirate's porta-crate and stayed there for a while enjoying their comfy bed.

A view from the ninth floor of the Skirvin of downtown Oklahoma City,

Contrary to what this picture leads you to believe, she really is a pretty girl. (Pictured here with her boyfriend, Clinton, and Russ' brother, Thomas.)

See gorgeous! (Now, Thomas is making a face. :)

Eating yummy cupcakes at Russ' parents' house. Nancy found some of our favorites at a bake sale, so she bought a dozen.

My doggies did really well in the car for such long periods of time.

See. She'll just curl up (awkwardly) and take a nap.

Weekend Recap: Flowers, Protestors and Battle Wounds

A breathtaking view driving from Los Alamos to White Rock.

Flowers! I didn't even know I had pink ones until these buds began to open last week. (Anyone know what they are? Mom? Dad? I want to plant them again and these seeds were in a "wildflower" packet.)

Anti-nuke protesters.

Jackpot! Roxy with THREE tennis balls at her disposal.

Battle wound from a mountain bike ride.

My cuddling puppies. :)

Dog Park

Last week, we went to the Los Alamos dog park for the first time.

I think the puppies had a good time making new friends...

And exploring the park. :)

Roxy sprinted from one corner to the other with her full, long strides.

And Pirate ran away from the bigger dogs to hide behind Russ' feet. :)

All in all, we had lots of fun!

My Puppies like Peanut Butter

But both have different methods to make sure they have consumed every last bit.

Pirate likes to lick the cabinet and Roxy likes to lick her arm (not the best pic of that, sorry). Somehow, doing this makes sure that there is no peanut butter left on their tongues.....

And you know what happens if you eat something really rich....

Yep, a food coma.

Squishy

How many bodies can fit onto one couch cushion.....?

My puppies seem to really like to cuddle. :)

It's Friday but it's really my first Saturday!

Today, Russ begins getting every other Friday off from work. Yay, I like having him home with me! We're really excited he get's this as an option because all the Fridays we need for traveling this summer coincide with his schedule. Awesome!

This would be my new Blackberry. :) Russ and I both had to get new phones because our old provider's coverage in the Los Alamos area was terrible.  Russ had no service at work and we weren't ever able to get a hold of each other.

We now have a new provider and new phones.  Mine is purple, you can barely see it because I have this super-duty case covering most of the prettiness. (Russ says I drop things a lot..... maybe he's right.)

In just a little while both doggies are getting baths.  Don't feel sorry for them, I know that's how they would like you to feel, but it's all an act because in reality they get lots of their favorite treats. Lucky dogs!

Here they are waiting beside the tub because the tub = treats. (Please look at how awkwardly Roxy can twist herself, she's so funny!)

This picture doesn't pertain to baths but I thought it was funny: Pirate is laying on top of Russ' cold pack, he stayed there for almost an hour.

A Doggie Tribute: Roxy

She wants you to think she's the cutest dog ever.... In reality, she's quirky, awkward, funny and very gassy!

Her favorite chair. She steals it from Russ every morning.

She has a very flexible neck and  watches  everything that's going on at all times. :)

Baby girl, you don't look comfortable at all!

There you go! So cute!!!
